I heard this one story of Nabi ﷺ speaking about Jannah and then a Bedouin told a joke and made him laugh. Can you verify this for me?

Is there any validity to the statement "The Ulama of my Ummah are like the Prophets of Bani Israil.”? Is it correct to quote as a Hadith, and if not, is the meaning appropriate to discuss?

The question I wanted to ask was if there was a Hadith about saying

السلام علينا وعلى عباد الله الصالحين

when entering a house with nobody inside.
